Conditional Formating on a drop down list

Hello,

I would like to change the result of a option in a drop downlist based on a result from another cell.

A1=Optional B1=Green (option in the drop down list)
A1= Mandatory B1= Red (option from the drop down list)

Are you wanting the dropdown selection to change color, or the cell that is displaying the value?

I don't want to change the colour of the cell but the result of the drop down box i.e auto choose one of the drop down options B1

From what I have read, it will take the deployment of VBA. Do you have the developer tab unlocked on your Excel?
