I have not been able to access email or retrieve or reset passwo

I cannot access my yahoo or gmail accounts. I changed my password when prompted too, then forgot and changed it again. When I ask to retrieve it, I am asked if I am ...@hotmail... I have not had hot mail in many years and certainly don't remember that password (using the same address although for both yahoo and gmail accounts and in the past Hotmail) Are my accounts still at risk while I am trying to solve this?
