Cannot access any of my email

Hello, When I ask to recover yahoo password, I am asked if I am ***@***. I have not used hot mail in many years so of course don't know password. When I answer no that I don't have access to this email, my response is uh oh can't retrieve. What is happening to the hundreds of emails I have gotten when trying to solve this?
I also cannot access my gmail or retrieve password.
