Hello nancy,
Are you talking about a laptop Pc or a desktop one? If there's a desktop in the story, my advice is to get another keyboard and to attach it to the motherboard/case of your PC. I'm offering you this, because the current keyboard might be failing. Also, if you have another PC to try the keyboard that goes on lock down, it would be great.
Please, try the above mentioned steps and come back to the topic to tell me what happened.
