Computer starts up but monitor is black Closed

Hello, my computer is a Windows 8.1, built it myself and has been running fine over a year I installed a graphics card runs fine with it. I turned it off the other night like usual, when I got home from school I turn it on and the screen is completely black. I can press ctrl alt del and then del again and it brings up the Asus boot menu. After trying to boot it several times to see if that was the problem it just bring me straight back to the black screen, any ideas?

Hi,
I am not sure of it whether it is the same problem as mine. May be it's due to overheating of battery or the battery is drained. Try removing your battery and place it again that may help.
I did the same. But, dont do it again and again just try it once as it can repair your battery life.

Forgot to mention it's a desktop, so no battery.
