Lenovo laptop screen won't turn on.

I have a lenovo laptop and when I turn it on the screen won't turn on but I know the laptop is on because I can hear the fan and the start up sounds. I've tried taking out the battery and holding down the power button but this doesn't work. Any ideas on what is wrong and how to fix it.

You might have a problem with the cable that connects the motherboard to the screen. Or, it could a problem with the screen itself.

It's not a problem that the average computer user can fix himself. I suggest you have a local PC repair shop diagnose the problem.
