Faceboo How to appear offline

I have tried every fix I have read about, to appear offline, and nothing works. I get comments from friends...oh you were up late last light / early this morning. I have tried turning off chat, turning of phone/video calls on Facebook, switching to imactive in messebger, nothing works, and I am getting tired of people'stalking' my presence. I do not need friends to know how often' or when I am on. Please come up with a solution!! !
