Hello,
Go to http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?modelname=A8Fm&SLanguage=en-uk
Click + before Audio* then Global.to download the driver u need to re-install ur Audio device.
U must first install the Microsoft UAA package ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp32501-33000/sp32646.exe
*For any reason "Audio" currently doesn't appear. Click the third +.

Hi jmp59. Thanks for your help. My laptop's audio is now working.
I did checked the "PCI Device" in the Device Manager. It has no yellow exclamation but I still updated the driver as you have suggested.
I looked for different files required during the installation like HDaudbus.sys, hdaudio.sys, hdaudres.dll, hdaprop.dll
and HDAShcut.exe. These files were already in \Windows\system32 but I still reinstalled them.
After the installation, the sound worked! Amazing...!

Thanks for your reply. I did just what you said. I installed the HP exe file and then the Audio Drive from AsusTek.
I received this error message when I was installing the Audio Driver. It says " HDA Audio Bus Driver is required and not found. "

In System devices of Device Manager id there a "PCI Device" line with a yellow exclamtion mark ?
If it's, right click then Update.
If it's, right click then Update.
