Cannot reset gmail pwd even though recovery mobile is correct

Hi,

I am having a gmail account whose password is not getting reset as i have forgotten. I am having a recovery mobile no and even though i enter the correct mobile number i cannot reset it. The same account is also opened in one of the android mobile and i cann access the same but i want to reset the password .
