VGA PC to TV

Hello,
I recently bought a new mother board and the only way to connect it to my Samsung TV was by VGA so I bought converter for my PC since it had a D-Sub but now whenever I go select the PC Input my TV just goes black and the LED starts flashing. Please help

You need to set you video setting down the lowest setting, and make changes until the display matches the tv settings. Not all TVs can display the formatting of the video. You will have to adjust the video output of the video card.

How do I do that? I can't really see anything to change display settings, do i need a new monitor?

I am not certain you need a new monitor, you just have to change the video RESOLUTION to a setting that your TV can Handle. See if you cant Borrow a buddies to make changes to the settings!
