Hello,

Guys I Just bought a 16GB memory card and transferred the data from the old memory card into the new one, after transferring there was nothing on my memory card but odd files named by symbols. so the first idea in my mind was it is some sort of virus so I installed an anti-virus software, scanned it and no malware was detected and these odd files were still there. As my Samsung J5 and PC, both were not showing the option of formatting the memory card there for I put it into my old Nokia X-02, smartphone and formatted it. After this, my android phone and PC do not detect the memory card. They detect the old memory card but not the new one. I just bought it two days ago.. please help me what is going on.. :((

Hello

Since you formatted the card with old Nokia X-02 it not surprising it is not detected by your pc, the formatting is not compatible, it's like formatting a pen drive for a mac on Windows. Nokia and Android don't speak!

Have you tried to format it on your pc using the disk manager ?

I tried formatting it through disk management but the disk is not visible there.

yes but the computer is not showing any card storage or detecting memory card and I do not have a memory card reader. what should I do? I was planning to have this card replaced by the store where I bought but the problem is this card might contain my private data that is not visible to me and I do not want the store people to access that.

Replacing the card only takes a few minutes, ask them to give you your old card. You can even watch them doing it.
