Dell Inspirion 1525 black screen

Hello,
My laptop seems to be working and when I turn it on I get a flash of the Dell logo and then it goes black but then I look at the keyboard on the upper Center left blue lock light is on is there something that's preventing my screen from turning on because of the locked function thank you Greg Duren email address is removed by moderator

Try this

1. Remove the battery and cable.

2. Press and hold the power button for 58 seconds.

3. Replug and start.

Good luck

P.S. If the above does not work, to troubleshoot try an external monitor.
