How to manage hours and rounding in Excel Solved/Closed

Hello, 

I need to know how to add a function to a cell in which I have figured a days hours worked with a lunch. The current formula is =(C7-B7)+(E7-D7). The result is 9:46 for example. I need this number to also be rounded to the nearest 15 minutes in the SAME cell though. Is this even possible? Please help.

Hi Theresa,

The numerical value of 15 minutes in Excel is 0.0104166666666667.

So we need to round your time closest to the multitude of that number:
=MROUND((C7-B7)+(E7-D7), 0.0104166666666667)
