How to instal Vista OS in Hp Pavilion dv7t

Hello,
i bought HP Pavilion dv7t-1000 CTO Entertainment Notebook P, in this they already instaled vista home edition.
and also they given vista recovery disk. in this C drive capacity is 190 gb and d drive 's is 30 GB.{total 250 gb harddisk)
I tried to instal my own vista os in this, so that i can make partisions easily.
But iam not able to instal my own vista OS in this.
so what should i do for this.

If its already installed why mess with it?
