Ipod verification

Hey,
When I download an app to my new, 16gb ipod
its says That the app wont be downloaded to my ipod because
the ipod cant be verified.
Also it freezes for 10mins every couple of days and skips the middle of songs.
got any suggestions?

Verify if your ipod is updated! I think this is the problem!
