How to setup VPN on Kodi

I recently installed Kodi App on my linux, but i'm not sure what is the correct way to install VPN on it. I went to different platforms some says you need a VPN Addon for other says you need a VPN software for MAC as VPN addon can't bypass location/create security layer.
On of the guide about i read it's not an issue either to use VPN addon or VPN application.

I'M REALLY puzzled what's the right option.

P.S : I want to use Netflix Kodi Addon

So after some tiny research found something really interesting. As VPNs are blocked by Netflix US library, only ExpressVPN and PureVPN working fine.

With Kodi, you can use official Netflix Addon and also PureVPN Kodi addon.

With this not only you can access Netflix US on Kodi, but also those addons which are blocked and restricted can be accessed with the VPN Addon.
