Hello,

Please help me - I had a previously working 2nd hard drive (sata) but now when I boot up, it is not being recognized as formatted. I see the local drive available but no indication of 'type' or free space available. Is there anything I can do to try and fix it so it will be again be seen as formatted (without having to format the disk)?

I don't know much about the settings but follow directions pretty well so any input would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Just download the sata driver for your motherboard!! Then install it... it will work fine!

Sorry - how do I do that?

Also, does it matter that it was previously working?

Thanks.

A little more information - it seems that the file system is not being identified as NTFS which is what it was. It is blank. The drive is healthy and active but ....

Is there any way to recover without having to format and lose all the data files in there?
