Do Malware Scans

As with all computer glitches, it never hurts to do a Malware scan and see if something nefarious is causing your problems—especially if you haven't done so in a while.

Reboot and Try Again

If you can't even open the Task Manager, then your computer is truly locked up and the only way to get it moving again is a hard reset. Press and hold down on the power button until your computer turns off, then press the power button again to boot back up from scratch.

Hardware Problem

Freezing during startup may be a sign that your hardware is going bad. Hard drive problems will damage data and stop your operating system from booting up. RAM is a common culprit that can cause boot problems; as with your hard drive, RAM can be corrupted by malware or simply malfunction with age. You can use memory diagnostic tools to check your RAM. Freezing can also be caused by an overheated motherboard, an insufficient power supply, or even a failing CPU. To diagnose defective hardware, you may need to get the laptop looked at by a professional.

Operating System Failure

If your laptop runs through the Power-On Self-Test (POST) but then freezes on a black screen, you may have a problem with your operating system; the system files may have been damaged by malware or user error. You can try to access your laptop's system partition during startup, which allows you to repair and reinstall your system. How this works depends on your laptop manufacturer; on some computers you press the "Del" key at a specific part of setup, while others use F10 or F2.

Well if your computer freezes regularly within a short time of booting, Then I will suggest you to check your system for virus or malware. You can scan your system using windows defender or you can also try to install a good antivirus software like T9 antivirus or systweak antivirus.

Your computer will typically freeze because of a software problem or because too many programmes are running at once. A computer may potentially freeze due to other problems like a lack of hard disc space or "driver"-related problems.

Maybe this is happening because your pc is not fully optimized. You should try a pc optimizer for your pc like- Advanced System Optimizer. These kinds of tool can optimize your pc space and clean junk files. This way you can increase the speed too.

Your hardware may be failing if it freezes at startup. Data will be harmed by hard disc issues, and your operating system won't start. RAM is a frequent offender that can lead to boot issues; similar to your hard disc, RAM can become infected by malware or merely stop working with time. If your Asus or Hp laptop do same. Then, you should know that which laptop is better.

If you are owning a Mac then use Command + Option + Escape to open a menu. If any of them are not responding, select them and click the End Task button.

It might be happened because of too many programms or services start at the startup of your windows, so you need to check and stop the unncessary services.

For this you can follow the steps below -

  • Prsee win+r button, it will open run dialouge box
  • Now type msconfig here and press enter
  • It will open System Configuration window
  • Here you need to select or tap on services tab
  • Now select the services that are not necessary and stopped them by click on disable button.

Possibly this is happening due to less RAM on your pc or your windows has got corrupted. If you are sure that you have got sufficient RAM and windows is ok then the second reason could be Malware. You need to scan your computer for malware attacks. If that is not the case then you need to optimize your pc by using a good system optimizer like Advanced System Optimizer. This can optimize your pc and if there is something needed to be updated then it can look for the driver updaters too.

Hi,

Do you encounter the problem if you start your laptop in Safe Mode?

Did you install or change something before the problem occurred?
