Question

Hello,
Is there any Way to Find active computer on LAN or FIND Computer NAME .?
Please define 
OR
 How Message can send to other connected computer's on LAN ,which work as or prompt or alert to other active user on LAN .(NOt FOR CHATTING PURPOSE)

The Messages services needs to be enabled for this.

Go to configuration panel > computer management > services and be sure that it is enabled on both computers.

Unfortunatly for your wishes to annoy someone with messages, this most likely means your plans aren't gonna work this time around :-)

if your message is small thn you can send by cmd prt
just type

net send computer_name msg

By useing net send command u can send massage


How to use netsend.exe

Format:
netsend.exe /server /text of message

Where:
/server - target computer name
/text of message - text to send

Example : To send a message to computer name webmaster with text: "Hi! How are you?"
Command line reads:  netsend.exe /webmaster /hi! how are you?

Net Send doesn not exist anymore in windows 7 nor Vista.

Free replacement is MSG.EXE

Check it out ! But it does not work between XP and 7 computers for example.

You still have other applications such as LAN Messenger or dMessage.
