Keyboard number problems

Hello!
My numbers will not work on my keyboard (only 5 and 6 work). I need to use numbers to enter my password to get logged on, but can't even do that. I checked number lock that is off and I also tried the FN number lock and that didn't work. PLEASE REPLY BACK IF YOU CAN HELP! I REALLY NEED MY LAPTOP! Thank you sooooo much in advance!!!

Dear Sir,

There must be a problem with your laptop's keyboard, the keys aren't responding,

Please use a USB external keyboard!!

Or just take the laptop to be checked by a technician
