Create lan between laptop and computer wifi

Hello,
I have to play games on lan connections with my friends laptops.
I have a pc and i have a wifi modem, if i connect the modem with a ethernet cable (straight) Can i put the laptop on lan with wifi connection.
Actually i want to turn on the wifi of my laptop connect to the wifi modem(which is used to connect to inernet, it has a adsl phone wire port, an ethernet port & power) which was connected to my pc.
Please tell me is it possible???
Or just tell me is there any way i connect my pc and 5 laptops on lan for playing games?????

hi there,

yes you can do it even for the five laptops/pc

all you will need is a router with more than 5 ports or a

normal router and a switch and connect them

what is a router?
and i have windows 7 on my pc. and theres windows vista on the laptop and one of the laptop has windows xp?
