MP3 Windows Vista updated

Hello,
I have Updated my Windows Vista online on date 16NOV-09.
I have toshiba laptopA205-S4797.

Before the update i could play the MP3 files but now MP# files can not be played in any MP3 player.
Windows Media player asks to check the Sound Card driver.
It is updated. I can paly the Real Player songs but no MP3 songs.

Please consider updating your sound driver once more. If still the problem persists,

consider restoring your system to get free of the trouble.
