Sound is not working for acer aspire

Hello,
My laptop is an acer aspire 5335 with windows vista and for some reason the sound just stopped working out of nowhere.
Usually when it stops working I just scan for device changes, but now it doesn't even work when I do that.
Please help, i want to watch youtube videos again haha

actually last day i was format my laptop using Xp-3 after dat i istalled all the drivers,but now the sound is not listen.......

Hi There,

Update your sound driver as well as your chipset drivers to latest versions available,then open run and type msconfig, system configuration utility console will open ,go to general tab and select normal startup,press on apply and restart system.
