Memory upgrade

Hello,



why won't my ACER AM3400-U2502 allow 8gb of memory? I purchased two more 2gb strips of memory and it will allow one but not both. when i install both the computer just beeps incessantly and never boots. thanks for the help

Please explain clearly why you are unable to both set.

There were two 2gb strips in the machine when I bought it. I then purchased two more 2gb strips. the labels on the new strips are identical to the ones original to the machine. When I installed the two new ones the machine just starts beeping and will not boot. If I remove one the machine boots normally and recognizes the new 2gb strip. I have four slots each capable of using 2gb for a total of 8gb. thanks for any help you can provide.
