Hello,

I have and iPod classic 120GB. Ipod won't charge or turn on a test showed it was not showing in iTunes. It will not show up to be synced. When I plug it in my computer will not even make a sound as it did before stating a connection has been made. my other usb cords and flash drives still do. I have noticed that there is a slight static sound not sure if it is the usb cord or the Ipod itself. NOTHING has worked I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Oh yeah it is not showing up in my computer or where the hard drive and all that stuff is. Does not show up where ipod sends me for the drop down box for reset.

Programs I think may have blocked it that I have recently installed are Google Chrome, and I did an iTunes new download that kept popping up when I went to the iTunes shop/site.

I think I have listed everything please help!

plug in your Ipod and but it in Disk Mode: Reset by holding Menu/Middle buttons, then hold Middle/Play until disk mode appears.
Leave it plugged in.

1- Go to Control Panel
2- Open "System"
3- Click "Hardware" tab and click "Device Manager"
4- Find and maximize "Universal Serial Bus controllers"
5- Right click "Apple Mobile Device USB Driver". Click "Uninstall" (If it's not installed, get it with Itunes.)
6- If it doesn't all work out right there, unplug, replug you Ipod and you should be good. Opening Itunes might help I guess...
