Laptop screen goes blackClosed

Question

Hello, I turned on my laptop and the screen wouldn't come on. The power button is blue, i could hear the fan, but the drive lights were not flashing. I tried charging it and the battery lights came on, but the screen still remained black. I have an acer aspire 5336. Can you please help?
 


Configuration: Windows XP / Safari 534.24

hi,
i had a problem like that.....my lenovo laptop didnt turn on and there was a beep code and the screen was black....now i solved it!i sent it to lenovo to fix it.
the problem was that there was sth wrong with BIOS and the motherboard had to be replaced.this happened while i was updating the BIOS system when the power went off....i had warranty and got it fixed for free...but i think that replacing your motherboard is quite expensive.....i hope this helps!

you can also try this : remove the battery and power cable then hold the power button down for about 30 seconds
insert the battery and try turning it on
