No sound

Hello, I am having a problem with no sound from my computer after a reinstall of XP. The original OS was vista but I lost my backup disks & have had to reinstall XP instead (done by someone who simply forgot to add a the sound bits ....I have a Packard Bell Kamet-GM with no audio device (I think lol) I have been told I need to find a driver compatible with easynote ML65 but am lost......could someone PLEASE help me....I am a complete novice with computers but I'm sure an expert could solve this in 30 seconds.

Do you know that vista have it's default sound codes.....so in it you dont need to install the sound drivers ......you can enable your sound drivers in the bios setting by changing the settings to automatic. then your computer willa utomatically detect the sound driver and you dont need to install any driver softwares......
