My sister was on the computer but it was taking a while to exit out of a program so I ejected the disc and pressed the power button on the computer. Later on we turned on the computer but it said Windows did not start successfully. It then gave us the option to go into: safe mode, safe mode with networking, safe mode with command promt, last known good configuration and start windows normally. We have tried all of them but it still will not start. I did some googling and started to try to do a system repair using steps from a website. We got up to step 6: Select the windows XP installation to repair http://pcsupport.about.com/od/operatingsystems/ss/instxprepair1_6.htm but our screen does not look like the example and it is telling us we have to delete all our files. Can you help me please?

Possibly a Hard Drive Error, Try adding another Hard drive and changing the jumpers, and install an os, your files will be accessable.

I hope you find this helpful
