How to show more than 255 characters in Pivot

Hello,

I have a pivot table in which 1 column(nearly 1800 rows) have characters nearly about 2000. But the pivot table shows only 1st 255 characters, can you please help me to show all the characters in pivot table???

PS: I am using Excel 2003!!!

Hello,

First of all make sure that you have well pivoted your excel sheet and that it is in the right direction. Hence, make sure that you have not any limitations on the filters. Else, it's normal that you will have only 255 characters, try to put it above average or customize it by inserting above 2000 characters

Thanks for the answer! Can you please elobarate a little bit your answer! As far as manually putting the characters, I have tried it but in vain!! :(

Ok then tell me first what are the procedures that you went through to pivot the table and I will tell you what is wrong with it

you can't. looks like it's hard-coded.
