Hello,

i installed an internal sata drive which is seen by the BIOS and various programs, BUT WinXP Pro does not recognise it, so it does not appear in Device Manager etc.

i opened partition magic and it could see the drive but not save any changes to it

by all accord the drivers are fine and there are no issues with the drive.

i also installed a sata 2tg drive and that too was unable to be seen in windows. yes it can seen in the BIOS as well.

'System Information' can also see it.

ANY IDEAS PLEASE???

The nForce4 motherboards had problems with SATA drives when it was introduced. I suggest you search for the latest drivers.

Good Luck
