Hello, everybody!!! I own a hp ze4928 notebook, that according the manual it can use the maximum of 1 gb ram. the motherboard has two slots for ram. is there something i can do so it could read more than 1gb of ram? for example to use slot one with 1 gb ram and slot two with 512 or 256mb of ram. the memory ram chips are in pc2700 (333) and cl 2,5.

I checked with a online memory seller - and found this info:

The Hewlett-Packard Pavilion ze4928EA takes the PC2700 DDR SDRAM SODIMMs Memory Type, it is installed with 256 MB (removable) of Memory. Upgrade your Hewlett-Packard Pavilion ze4928EA up to 2.0 GB Memory, this system comes with 2 sockets sockets to install Memory, and already with 256 MB (removable) of standard Memory installed.

So the answer is yes you can buy a 1 GB module and replace the current 256 MB module and keep the 512 MB. Giving you 1.5 GB total.
