Headphones dont work on my presario v6000

Hello,

I have a compaq presario v6000. The speakers work fine and so do the headphones until i want to use them in windows media player. I have tried changing the default settings and looked around on media player but i can'tfind what i need.

It would be great if someone would help

hi,
it may be that there is a problem with the microphone socket.
get it repaired by a qualified technician.
or if it is still on warranty, contact your dealer.
