Black screen

Hello,
I have a toshiba laptop and it worked fine up until last night after we turned it off we tried turning it on again and it powers up but the screen doesn't come off black I tried the tricks u suggested on here like unplugging and taking out the battery but it's not turning the screen on. Any other ideas?

Hello,

have you discharged the battery by holding the power button for 20 seconds?

You could also try reseating the memory modules.

sometimes when theres a faulty module, the laptop won't start.

I tried the power button and the laptop is turning on but screen is still black how do I reset the memory module?

Flip the laptop over, unscrew the flap and you'll see the memory modules in there.
