Frozen keyboard

Hello,
My 8 month old hit a bunch of buttons on my key board and now none of the letters and pretty much everything else will not work. I can reboot, but it does not help. On my computer, right when it comes on you have to enter a pass word just to get to Windows, so I am locked out of the screen where the administrator and the next pass word is needed. I have turned the computer off, unplugged the keyboard and neither works. I do not know much about computers, so could someone help me without sounding too technical? Thanx!
