BSOD when installing XP

Hello, I have an HP Compaq 2510p Notebook PC. I want to install Windows XP, but... BSOD. I got this at least 5 times in a row! Please help!

There is nothing we can do! Xp is not a valid OS, so there fore, we cannot troubleshoot your issues! it sounds to me like the hardware DOES NOT MEET MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (step 1 in loading an OS!)
