Hello,

Titles says it,
Spec

Asus gaming laptop
Windows 7
Intel i7
NVIDIA gtx 460.

It’s a few years old, had the hard drives replaced two years ago. It used to only freeze when gaming once in a while. Now freeze after browsing the web or just sitting in home screen in 5-10mins.

Tips or helps please
Thanks

When is the last time you defragmented your hard disk?

Have you recently cleaned your cache ?

Defrag hard disk was probably a month ago, when it first started happening,

And cache not for a while probabaly.

Could I do both of those in safe mode without is freezing you think?

How do you clear cache again?

Just booted in safe mode going to do both again,
Disk defrag was a month ago when it first started

Will try and will get back

Sorry but I never had Windows 7, I don't know how to delete all of temporary files and cookies.

If you have defragmented your hard disk a month ago, it should not be necessary.

It’s freezing in safe mode before I can do anything

It could be a memory issue.

Delete all of your temporary files and cookies.

Check your ram sticks

This time it froze in 2 mins I barely got task manager window open in safe mode.

I have hard drive space open.

CPU usage is 15%
Memory is 815 mb and I had a 2 hardrives

Another thought....
my battier doesn’t hold a charge only works when plugged in.... could that have anything to do with the freezing maybe????
