This article is not accurate since there is no such option in the menu

The person who did the article used a outdated version of Opera

I opened a discussion on the opera forum because I was not able to find the "block content" option in the menu

They told me your article is not accurate

The mods at the Opera browser forum told me it is not accurate (unfortunately)
Because I was looking to use this function and I asked them why there was no option like in this article, and I have put your article to show them, and I even told them the date of the article which is October 2017

------->>> That's what they said:

"They are talking about Opera Presto, what are how Opera versions up to 12 are usually called to distinguish them from Opera Chromium (From version 15).

Don't know why they wrote an article about an very old version of Opera without mentioning it."

In other words, the version of Opera that you use to block the ads is unfortunately out of date (so they say)

By gully you are absolutely correct !

The article was actually updated for it's format but the original article dates back to 2010.

I will try to get it deleted or have it marked with a warning.

You are not poisonous at all, in the contrary you have been a great help.

Thank you very much, we owe you one

Thanks!
And I asked them how could I still block a specific ad, and they told me to create my own block list, in Easylist format, and use it. But the thing is I don't know how exactly to do it.

It would be very helpful if you guys would make an article about it, how-to, step by step! plzz

Hi Poison,

Because this thread has had several exchanges on another subject, I suggest that you create a new thread explaining your issue with the title:

"Opera browser: how to create my own block list in Easylist format"

Post it in the Internet forum.

Good luck

P.S. Opera is not the most popular browser.

Ok, Ill do that
Opera is not the most popular, but within the 3 browser I use it is the most efficient, fastest, less hassle, snappy etc.

Probably because of the integrated ad blocker
