I need a webcam that does not shut off when using Remote Desktop

Hello,

I need a webcam that does not shut off when the workstation locks due to using remote desktop connection. When using RDC, the local workstation locks and shuts down the webcam (Microsoft LifeCam). Is there a way around this?

Set up the webcam as a service, not as a desktop application!
