Blue screen of death

Hi when I start my toshiba satellite I get a blue screen with a sad face on it that says there is a problem and that they with restart my laptop for me it goes off then the toshiba screen appears with the words preparing rerairs then after a few seconds the screen just goes black and nothing else happens hope someone can help thank you in advance

Hi

I suggest that you attempt to reset your laptop to factory settings. You will lose all of your data but it's better than a dead computer.

Thanx but I can’t do that unless I get onto the laptop it never goes past a black screen

Hi Sarah,

Do you have any USB devices attached? If so, remove them and try again.

Failing that, Keep pressing F8 during start up to get advanced boot menu and try doing a "last good known configuration".

Or, if you boot up and turn off the laptop 3 times you should be given additional recovery options. I would choose start up repair first and then a system restore if that fails.

It's worth noting that you should perform a startup repair at least 3 times.
