I suggest that you attempt to reset your laptop to factory settings. You will lose all of your data but it's better than a dead computer.

Do you have any USB devices attached? If so, remove them and try again.
Failing that, Keep pressing F8 during start up to get advanced boot menu and try doing a "last good known configuration".
Or, if you boot up and turn off the laptop 3 times you should be given additional recovery options. I would choose start up repair first and then a system restore if that fails.
It's worth noting that you should perform a startup repair at least 3 times.
