No display.... but cpu powers up!

Hello,
I was using my computer and suddenly it hanged. I then restarted my computer but there was no display. I turned it 2 - 3 times again but still there was no display no beep but the fans were spinning and every thing was lighted. I then searched for the solution.... I got an article that ' unplug every cables including the power cable then hold the power button for 30sec - 1 min and then connected everything again an power it up.' for some that worked but did not for me...... I thing that mobo is dead... Can any body help me please?
