Phone refuses to open WhatsApp

My phone it refuse to open social network i dont knw why .it say my phone date is incarrate so plz solve for m this problem evn i adjust my phone time still not open social network e.g whatsapp

If the date is wrong, you need to contact your carrier!

Hi,  I tried to message my friend on WhatsApp as they fell ill today. My messages were sent but not delivered so I guessed their phone is off which is understandable.  But when I tried to call on WhatsApp it says ringing (not calling) which I always thought meant that their phone is online and actually ringing.  So, messages not delivered but phone says ringing? The two seem contradictory.
