Help!
My laptop won’t turn on. The light that indicates that it is on and the light that indicates it has power, are shining(which means it’s on). The screen is just black, and the fan is not on. I’ve tried holding down the power button, but nothing happens.

My laptop is an ASUS R541U.
I appreciate all the help I can get

Thank you
Can you take the battery out? If so, do it, and then hold down the power button for 60 seconds. Try it again!

Thank you, ac3mark 1

I’d have to screw off the keyboard for that, is it safe?

Thank you
How long have you had this machine. It looks like a newer model, and perhaps it might still under warranty?

It might be worth taking to a technician if it is out of warranty. That looks like a high end machine, and I would hate to get you into something that may be easy to fix, but beyond your skills and expertise. Do you have an external monitor to try to hook it up to, to see if it is running, just not the monitor?

Unfortunately I don’t have an external monitor. I’ll just bring it to a technician. Thank you for your help and advice

Sorry we couldn't offer anything else. I don't want you to remove screws to TROUBLESHOOOT!

It’s fine :) Haha, that’s true, I wouldn’t trust myself with opening it up

When you take it in, just ask them to see if it display s on an external there at the shop first. They shold do that little task for free. Then you can ask how much based on knowing if it boots or not!
