Did you set-up a Yahoo email app on your new phone?
If you remember your email address and password, you should always be able to sign in your account.
You should also ensure that you register a recovery email address for all of your accounts.
While you have access to your Yahoo with the old phone you should change your recovery addresses.
Yahoo does not like accessing accounts from different phone devices.

You must use a Yahoo app to sign in to Yahoo. Do not use a Gmail app
Thank you sir for your replies, but what will I do now? As of now I am able to read messages on my emails on my old phone and also on my desktop computer in the office because I did not log out before the incident happened. I am afraid that I might be accidentally log out on my desktop computer and can't open it anymore. Please help. Thank you.

Yes you must first logout from your phone before you login with your Yahoo mobile application on your new phone.
