Flash drive that doesn't play movies

Hello, i have a problem with my 1 tb flash drive; if i copy movies from my computer to the flash drive, they dont play. Am using windows 8.1 pro and vlc player media. Any ideas?

What do you mean it doesn't play? Do you get an error message? What are the movie file formats?

@Ambucias.My movies are mp4 format. No i dont get any error; the vlc just opens and does not proceed to play the video. If i try another media player(potplayer), gives a notification that says "Video does not exists".

VLC support the following formats: MPEG-1/2, DivX® (1/2/3/4/5/6), MPEG-4 ASP, XviD, 3ivX D4, H.261, H.263 / H.263i, H.264 / MPEG-4 AVC, Cinepak, Theora, Dirac / VC-2, MJPEG (A/B), WMV 1/2, WMV 3 / WMV-9 / VC-1, Sorenson 1/3, DV, On2 VP3/VP5/VP6, Indeo Video v3 (IV32), Real Video (1/2/3/4).

Do you have VLC's latest version?

I suggest you update it Download the latest version and install it.

I suspect that your MP4 is corrupted. Can you play any other videos?
