hi please help i brought my daughter a dell lap top for Christmas which is today and i put a pass word on there months ago when i first had it now i can not remember what it is and she so upset please help

hi,
you need to go to the BIOS to change the settings of the HDD and change the boot sequence to boot from CD first.
then insert the installation CD and reboot the system.
follow the installation wizard properly then.
