Recovering a deleted Gmail account on Android

Hello,

Accidentally deleted my Gmail account on my mobile some 6 months ago. Now need to recover it to update my Apps etc. Tried various Google Support group instructions but with no success. Local shop says I have to delete entire phone contents (@ GBP 25) and start all over again creating a new Gmail account (or using a second one that I have). Is there any other way I can recover the deleted account?

Hello,

Have you tried these steps to recover your deleted Gmail account? It depends on how long your account has been deleted. If it's been some time, you might be unable to recover it.

Thank you Daniel. I have tried the steps as you mention but they don't work in recovering my account. I guess I will have to wipe the Android clear and start again with a new account..
