Depends on your set up, house, what you use or plan to use. You dont have to spent a lot of £££££££££££ on a "Good" router. you're just paying for the name. eg. NETGEAR. I have an AC1200 TPLink at hom (bought it 5+ years ago) still going strong. it has dual band and i've never had issue with it.
It totally depends upon your location, home structure and your usage. But i recommend Netgear router, because i am using this from last 2 years and this is perfect and meet all my requirement. It's Setup and installation is easy. You can setup or configure netgear router by yourself.
It depends what you're trying to do, how much youre trying to cover, how many devices will be attached, material of building/walls it needs to penetrate, what features youre interested in.
