Cod 4 mp "error during initialization"

Hello,
when i open cod 4 multiplayer it says"error during initialization:Tried to use a player profile before it was set, this is probably a menu bug"
whats the solution can someone help?

Sounds like you have a corrupt version. Where did you get it, and how much did you pay?

I downloaded cod 4 mw multiplayer from nosteam.ro website.
now what can i do to solve this problem?

Yes. It is free because it is hacked and mangled.
