Can't connect my accer laptop to the internet

Hi all,
So I brought an accer laptop from a friend and it doesn't want to connect to the internet. I've tried updating, resetting and I gave it to an IT friend who said he couldn't figure it out.
I tried opening the control panel and going to Change adapter settings but it doesn't have a wifi bit. It only shows a Ethernet option.
It randomly connect one day for about an hour but now it just will not even give me the option.

Tell the frind you bought it from to show you how to connect it to his wifi. If the only adaptor os etherent, you have a missing driver, or missing hardware.

Hey!
You can reset the settings of your laptop and restart it. That might help.
