External drive not recognized

Hello, I'v got a new hard disc WD Passport Elite (compatible wit PC and mac) and saved some files from a PC but my powerbook doesn't recognize at all the disc. No icon is shown on the desktop no nothing.

You will have to format the disk on windows system first then try re connecting to your powerbook!
